Introduction

The school started with the cultivation of electromechanical talents and has since developed an “exquisite and excellent university of science and technology” with a pragmatic teaching style. Thus, our graduates have been deeply loved by enterprises. To cope with the rapid changes in society and global competition, the school has gone through many consensus-seeking meetings to study and contemplate the current situation of the school through various related workshops about designing and thinking about the school’s future, which has taken administrative and institutional perspectives, students, teachers and extending students’ employability into consideration. The result of the above efforts was the generation of the “Intelligent Manufacturing x Innovative Practice” as the core structure of school affairs development, believing that it will intensively cultivate excellent cross-disciplinary talents in the next 10 years. The overall thinking of the program and its goals are briefly described as follows:

“Intelligent Manufacturing x Innovative Practice” is not only about the environment or equipment installation, but the transformation of the whole school's thinking (intelligent manufacturing).
The school’s development aspects are various, including “practical teaching innovation model”, “solid employability in the workplace”, “strengthening the school’s important characteristics (including internationalized and characteristic aviation training, intelligent manufacturing, and value-added services for industrial chain technology)”, “a great leap forward in international industry and education”, “providing appropriate guidance for students as ‘Wujiancuo Academy’ has done”, “transparency in school administration and information”, “practice fields (including education bases for innovation and self-manufacturing, class production lines, future classrooms)”, and “Huwei River Basin Social Responsibility”.
Each of the dimensions is centered around the students, teachers, resources, systems, and the society, and these point-oriented implementation contents are linked for further development, thus forming the following six major links: the student training chain, the chain of ability development of teachers, the chain of physical facilities in the field, the publicized school affairs information chain, the industrial technology chain, and the social responsibility chain.
Furthermore, via intelligent school affairs research and through the expansion of the development points, lines, and areas, the school has built up experiences in “discovering problems, solving problems, immediate corrections, and positive success,” altogether forming a shared and co-constructed campus ecological chain, driving the teachers and students to practice their core values as a mission and giving full play to the university's social responsibilities.
In so doing, the school can share this successful nurturing model and increase its social influence, and it can also cultivate talents with exceptional cross-disciplinary skills and positive influence for the country.
